Retired in 1998 as Manager of Design/Production in the Corporate Design Group at Colgate Palmolive Corporation, New York City.
Our group was responsible for designing the graphics for domestic and global consumer packaging.
Began painting at an early age. Attended New York's School of Music and Art, (class of 1953).I studied Advertising Design. As a teenager, I won several art awards in New York City.
My experience in the art field included positions as Illustrator, Designer and Art Director. I became Vice President at two major Design Firms based in New York City. Corporate positions held included, Xerox Corporation (as a senior illustrator), Avon, NBC Design and Art, Kenyon and Eckhardt Advertising and others.
Exhibited in Sierra Madre, Los Angeles, Pasadena and Monrovia, California. Also showed on Fire Island, Long Island and Orlando, Florida. I exhibited in Cary and Wake Forest, North Carolina Galleries. Showed at Liquidambar Studios, Pittsboro NC as featured artist for the month of June.
I am a member of the Fine Arts League of Cary, (FALC) Juried in The Fine Arts League shows in 2011 and 2013.
I have at least three styles that I feel comfortable. I enjoy creating whimsical pieces. I frequently switch back and forth from pen/ink watercolor to acrylic abstracts. My works are primarily from imagination.
