Foibe (Luiana Makundi) is a Tanzanian artist who is currently living in the Washington DC area.
She received her formal training in Fine Arts in Europe and in the USA.
She usually works with Charcoal and Pastel on recycled or colored paper, as well as Oil Paints on Canvas. Her usual subjects are People and Landscape from her native country, Tanzania.
Children of the Masai (2009) is the first serie of her paintings of ethnic groups in East Africa.
