Curriculum Vitae
Lynda Thompson is a central Virginia artist specializing in art quilts. She is currently also working in colored pencils.
Lynda Thompson comes from a family of artisans. She learned how to sew from her mother, grandmother and sister. She made her own clothes starting in the eighth grade. She started taking art lessons at an early age. She turned to quilting in 1978 and started sewing quilted pieces by hand. She decided to combine her sewing, quilting and artwork into art quilts. She sold her first art quilt in 1992. In 2003, she decided to concentrate on her art quilts more. All of Lynda's siblings sew and quilt.
Lynda has over 25 years of experience in business and non-profit workplaces.
