Born in Norfolk England trained at Great Yarmouth College exploring his interest of imagery through alternative equipment such as telescopes or other scientific machinery. After much deliberation he has chosen to explore in more depth the exciting field of microscopy, the art of imagery throught the microscope. This field of photography has many inherent techical issues, the toughest being the apparent lack of depth of field at such high magnicfications. Even with some basic slide preparations the depth of field is so shallow that even then not all the image is in focus. After much experimentation and research Marcus has managed to work using some techniques not explored by many. Some subject still impose some very differcult and sometimes impossible to overcome situations. Some problems are physically impossible to overcome but can give another dimension to this exciting genre of photography.
I have much interest in art and its mediums as I also paint but must say that if one is to be creative he must explore all forms of artistist experimentation just like Dali. Dali was well known for his Paintings, Photography, Film and not forgetting Sculpture. The Camera is not only a way to record but the photographers paintbrush hence the term 'painting in light'. The human eye is a camera and existed long before the paint brush or even cave art.
Without light you can not have color, to mean color does not exist without light.
