I am a life long resident of the Chicago area. Painting has always been an important part of my life. As a child, I recall studying various works of other artists, hoping to one day do as well. My Grandpa was a big influence on me. He was always willing to sit and draw or paint with me. He would set objects up on the table and challenge me to do my best rendition, a showdown of sorts. It was great fun. At eight years of age, I received my first oil paint set. I’d hit the big time!
I’ve spent the last twenty eight years raising my family and painting for pleasure or commission whenever time would allow. In the early-mid 1980's I joined a weekly painting group, headed by a young Dominic Vignola . He is now a very prominent portrait painter. I am in awe of his work. These were very informative years for me. I feel very fortunate to have studied with someone so talented.
I am grateful to God for my artistic interest, as it has brought me so much enjoyment. Also, to all who have given me kind words and encouragement, those who have viewed and those who’ve collected my work, I am thankful.
