Born in Italy, Maria Grazia Repetto attended college in Genova at the Liceo Artistico Barabino. She earned a masters degree in fine arts at the Accademia Ligustica di Belle Arti, also in Genova.
While studying Frescos at Poggio Imperiale in Florence, she was one of five students who assisted in the restoration of magnificent XVII- and XVIII-century frescoes.
Maria later performed fresco restoration work at the Diocesi Di Bobbio Church in Genova and also in the magnificent frescoed rooms of the Castle of Castelvecchio di San Felice in Torino (Italy)
She was honored by being one of the artists featured in the book '629 oeuvres - Petit Palais Genevre'
In 1997 Maria Grazia Repetto moved to Seattle and opened L'Affresco Art Studio. In Seattle she has given fresco workshops at both the Frye Art Museum and the Pratt Art Center.
In addition to fresco techniques, Ms. Repetto is also professionally skilled in oil paint, water color, acrylics, etching, and bas- relief techniques.
Maria Grazia Repetto has retained her skillful technique in her work while continuing to further refine her compositions. For example, we find her sophisticate sense of refinement in her paintings in the way she combines line discontinuities and light reflections. These qualities give her the ability to work on almost any type of surface with excellent results… her large wall paintings and frescoes have been impressing us for some time.
