Brushed GRAPHITE Wild Horses and Burros
As a child, being able to clean our shetland pony's stall in order to ride him, was the best deal I had. Tex used to stand on top of his manure pile behind the barn, wind in his mane, like a proud Stallion. Growing up I was fascinated by Misty of Chinconteague, later the Wild Horses of Sable Island.
Did you know that Wild Horses have been proven beyond a shadow of a doubt by scientists as being native to our North American continent; granted some of their numbers have undoubtably been mixed with pioneer releases in the devlopment of the Wild West.
Did you know that Wild Horses still roam free today ... in Canada and the US.
Did you know that Wild burros still roam in the US; currently under attack; simply for being there, being able to survive on their own ?
Did you know that Wild Horses are the healthiest horses that exist today; totally self-sufficient, loyal, loving and protective of their family bands. No farriers, vet bills or special diets for these Strong, beautiful, graceful creatures.
There is much controversy on this Issue; to me, it seems like nothing more than a money grab.
The horses are in the way of land development, orchestrated by select people who are lining their pockets at the expense of decimating the healthiest species of Horse that exists.
And, you guessed it ... Wild Horses and Burros are not the only species deemed to be 'in the way' of modern development'.
If you want to know more, I will guide you to some wonderful people who are living these complex issues, out in the field; reporting back with integrity and honesty; supported by visual evidence.

The drawings in this Gallery are my way of celebrating the wild Horses and Burros, to support some noteworthy people as they work towards a solution.
Thanks for your time, and have a wonderful day.
