I do believe that every human being has a creative side that should be explored without limitations. From my early childhood Iíve been in close contact with nature. The mystery of life and its development always fascinated me and I became an observer of Nature.
I enjoy expressing what I see around myself in many different ways . Thus the inspiration comes in the form of sound, movement, color and words, so I express my feelings and emotions through music, painting and writing.
After my arrival to Australia, traveling with my husband helped me to make contact with the magnificence of the Australian landscape. I soon felt in love with this country and its people and had an urgent need to express it in my art.
I like to use different materials and mediums as the subject requires however I have great pleasure drawing and painting with pastels. I love to create colorful paintings with strong contrast in lights and shadows. With that purpose the first steps in developing a painting is completely emotional and intuitive. For that reason I only work with the best quality materials being them papers, boards, mediums, paintings etc.
Biology has been my first career and as I love everything in Nature I adore Plain Air Painting. There are few things in the world that gives me more pleasure than a day painting outdoors and that is what I try to represent in my work: A harmonic union that makes us living participants of its transformation.
I am fascinated by lights and the subtle movement of the shadows that they produce in contact with the subject. But most important yet is the spiritual meaning hidden behind them. Exploring those shadows and illuminating them helped me to find my soul and open an inner dialogue with the subject.
That is what Iíd like to share in my paintings Ė my passion for art, my love for every creature and formation in Nature and a strong desire to express beauty as I see it. I like to offer the viewer not only a glimpse of what and how I feel but also a reflection of my own.
My philosophy is to live and enjoy the present moment, creating a better tomorrow. I continue learning and exploring my art day by day. Thus my last painting will be always better than the one before, but never as good as the next one. Looking for perfection Iíve created my own way of working been this outdoors or in my studio.
Often when Iíve got a new idea I also know the medium Iím going to use. But pastels are by far my favorites for outdoor painting. Iím not a quick painter. So, I also take lots of photographs to use later as reference. I like to take the time I need to paint and enjoy the moment. Once the painting is finished often Iíll keep it in the observation shelve until Iím happy enough to frame it. By that moment, surely another idea will be already in my mind and a new project on the way.
So, by the moment an exhibition is over Iíll be already working in a new one. Writing my first painting book, and preparing another painting subject.
And the cycle of life continues.
