I am self-taught, except for high school art classes. In late 2006, I was inspired by a book to buy some bristol board and drawing pencils and make a serious attempt at graphite drawing (at age 53!). Nobody was more surprised than me at what I was able to do. I have since branched out into color pencil, and after much more reading and insight from friends made on this site, am looking forward to expanding into pastels and maybe paint after retirement from my 'pay the bills' job. For now, I am practicing and learning, focusing on trying to breathe life into what I draw.
Some of my work is available for sale as prints on this site. I love drawing animals and children especially. Commissions are welcome.
