Marti Nash is an artist who lives near Parker Dam, CA. She’s originally from North Dakota and has lived in California since 1997. Marti is an active member of the Lake Havasu Art Guild.
Marti received a BS in Visual Arts from North Dakota State University in 1995. She studied printmaking, drawing, pottery, and photography with an emphasis in acrylic painting. In the last few years, she has been working more with clay creating hand-built coil and slab-formed pieces. She enjoys creating artwork in a wide variety of media and subjects. Most of her work is based on people, both figurative and face. She enjoys drawing attention to the non-traditional portrait.
While in Fargo, ND, Marti designed and created exhibits for a children’s museum. When first moving to California, she taught art classes to grades k-8.
Marti welcomes commission work. She is an excellent portrait artist, creates personalized plaster-casting pieces, and pottery.
