Mary Deal, a native of Walnut Grove, in California's Sacramento River Delta, is an oil painter and photographer now selling her work, which began as a hobby. The island of Kauai in Hawaii, where she lives, is the most remote land mass on earth with somewhat limited subjects to photograph beside flowers and beaches. She photographs anything she feels others may appreciate.
Mary is also an award-winning author with six published suspense/thrillers, a collection of short stories and flash fiction, and three reference books for writers. Mary is a Pushcart Prize nominee, a columnist with The Garden Island newspaper, and also Associate and Contributing Editor of Mississippi Crow magazine.
