I grew up watching my colorful town Salinas, Puerto Rico and wanting to become an artist. Half of my art education have come from private classes with local artists and mentoring with other professionals both in Puerto Rico and Spain, where I lived for four months. The other half comes from constant self-studying, experimenting, watching and analyzing classical art, mostly in the Prado Museum and the Ponce Museum of Art. My style can be described as a modern classical approach, utilizing techniques and themes from the old masters but at same time trying to bring something new and personal.
Photography is another passion that I discovered while in college studying journalism. I also write, act and make films, hoping always to create the best in each medium and at same time learning from each for the benefit of the others.
