About Michael Mooney

An Unconventional artist, that creates art using various mediums. 'Art with a twist- Because Life's too short, not to laugh'.

I am a graphic designer by day and an Artist by night. I eat, sleep and breathe Art. It's what I was born to do. I have been creating art in some form or another since 1997. Each year I am evolving both as a person and an artist.

As an artist, I have a great appreciation for all styles of art. That said, I don't want to label myself as a Realist, a Surrealist, an Expressionist or an Abstract artist because, I like to create in whatever style I want and 'break the rules'. I like change and creating art in different styles. Sometimes I want to paint or draw something very realistic and sometimes I don't want to recognize anything at all.

If I had to place myself In one category I would have to say that I would be labeled as an Unconventionalist. I say this because I am not just influenced by just one style I like them all! That is why my art may jump from an Expressionistic style to a more Realistic style.

The bottom line is what you see when you view my art, is 100% me! When you see my art I want you to feel vulnerable and learn something new about yourself. I want you to create your own story and make the piece your own.

Thank you for taking an interest in my art. Please feel free to contact me and ask me any questions.
