'when I see the music, I hear colors,' and that's exactly how I experience art. When I listen to music, my imagination takes flight, envisioning vibrant forms and captivating colors. As I translate these musical inspirations onto canvas, my heart fills with the rhythm and melody, resulting in truly harmonious creations.
Even during breaks from painting, I find that the artwork continues to unfold in my subconscious mind. While strolling with my beloved dogs, the strokes and compositions effortlessly develop in my imagination, weaving a captivating tapestry. When I return to the canvas, it feels as if the brushes themselves are guided by my thoughts, bringing my artistic vision to life.
Allow me to introduce myself, I'm Miki Karni, a painter who specializes in realistic, photo realistic, and surrealistic oil paintings. My style is a unique and innovative blend that stands out in the world of art. Nature holds a special place in my heart, and you'll often find its beauty intricately woven into my works. From painting on Jerusalem stones, pebbles, and kurkar stones to utilizing the natural texture as an integral part of the artwork, I strive to create an immersive experience for the viewer. Of course, canvas is also a cherished medium for me, providing the perfect backdrop for my vibrant creations.
My paintings are characterized by lively colors that illuminate any space, creating a serene and distinctive atmosphere. Infused with abundant optimism, my artwork showcases the depth of my creativity and serves as a reflection of my true essence as a painter and artist.
Over the years, I've had the privilege of designing and painting for esteemed institutions such as The Israel Government Coins and Medals Corporation. Additionally, my works have been showcased in numerous solo and group exhibitions across Israel and around the world. I'm honored to have received recognition from notable organizations and companies, including General Electric, Boeing, the U.S. Air Force, GM, Zim, Iscar, Elbit, the Israeli Air Force, the Israeli Presidential Mansion, the U.S. Ambassador's house, and even the Israeli Prime Minister's Office. My art has also been presented as esteemed gifts to several heads of state.
What sets my art apart is its accessibility and inclusivity. I believe that art should be experienced by everyone, regardless of visual impairments. That's why I've developed a unique technique that allows you to feel and perceive my paintings through touch, just like in Braille. It's a special and exciting gift for those who can't see or fully experience the visual aspects.
