I believe in the oneness of humanity and that as one human race, we share a common destiny and purpose. My central artistic goal is to discover intelligent and creative methods to engage with the questions of meaning and responsibility that arise in a rapidly changing, multicultural society. In my work, I explore the application of time-honored spiritual and ethical principles to contemporary issues that are often divorced from such understanding. Through the juxtaposition of traditional spiritual or religious themes with the immediacy of everyday events, I attempt to produce insight into the vagaries of the world we live in.
