I create art to feel free, and I have created art in some form for as long as I can remember. It is my happy place, and when I was young I was taught I could create whatever world I wanted. All of my fears, dreams, and fantasies could come alive with the flick of a pencil or the drag of a brush.

My favorite mediums are pencil, and oil paints. I begin each piece through self exploration. I look at my current environment, and the emotions I receive from it. For example if I’m upset by something, I will attempt to create imagery that may represent those feelings. If I’m attracted to some interesting imagery, my hope is that viewer will find enjoyment in it as well. I want to allow myself to really dig deep into my psyche, and create a view of the world as I see it.

I think my work is a representation of my thoughts, dreams, and fears. I like to create images of things that intrigue me, but I also make an attempt at some form of therapy in order to explore deep seeded issues and emotions. I want the viewer to feel drawn in by the subject matter, and hopefully get some personal clarity through experiencing a particular piece. I want the viewer to be emotionally affected.
