Nancy (Nan) Janine Thibert, is a Calgary based artist and educator. She was born in Medicine Hat, Alberta in 1961 and received her Bachelor of Fine Arts in painting in 1988 from the University of Lethbridge, Alberta. She taught and volunteered extensively for eighteen years, taking time to live a domestic life, but never strayed far from painting. In 2005/06 she had the honour of exhibiting at events hosted by world - renowned doctor and spiritualist Deepak Chopra.
Nan has works at the Assembly of First Nations in Ottawa, pieces in private collections in Canada, the United States, England, France, Australia and Japan. She has exhibited at Harrison Galleries in Vancouver and Calgary, Artspace, Art Point, Artists of the World, Arts on Atlantic and Roberto Ostberg galleries in Calgary, Alberta. She also has had the privilege of collaborating with world-renowned photographer and naturalist Robert Vavra, a friend and colleague of writers Ernest Hemingway and James Michner.
