My work is constantly evolving as I look at each new painting as a fresh challenge. I like to convey the energy and movement that surrounds an individual. My paintings are often full of emotional content, designed to create a contemplative atmosphere. Painting is a way to express the unexpressed, the unspoken.
I've always been fascinated with faces and led a drawing group at the Atlanta Artists Center for many years. I also paint commissioned portraits of people and pets.
I was an inaugural member of the Fredrix Canvas (Tara Materials) Art Advisory Board and have served on the Board of the Atlanta Artists Center.
I've earned many prizes for my paintings, and they have been accepted in regional and national juried competitions. I'm a graduate of Duke University where I studied art and worked at the Duke University Museum of Art.
