Born into an art background, Nanette's father, Peter Parisi, mixed oil paints before her eyes. She loved to see how a simple brush stroke became a vivid painting. Her grandfather, Anthony Filangeri, painted murals on the ceilings of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, in the Bronx.
