My fascination and love of photography began when I thumbed through the pages of Life and Look Magazines. Those images touched and transported me to new places and evoked emotions that help define who I am today. Years later I got my first camera and began to teach myself one image at a time all the while judging my work against those early magazine memories. As my work evolved, I found that I incorporated another passion, history, in my photos. My work today usually involves depiction of our American cultural heritage but places along the journey inspire me as well. I am attracted to the 'out-of-place'.
