My last child has left the nest, I now have a real studio in my home -- my inviting place to read and think and draw and paint. As an artist, I find myself wanting to try everything, but I realize that I can only do one thing at a time, and I have always wanted to paint with watercolors. I took a class almost two years ago, and have been using water-based media ever since. I also enjoy pen and ink and feel that some of my best work uses both. I tend to lean towards representational pieces, drawn and painted from photographs that my husband and I take. However, I believe there is really an abstract artist inside me, just waiting for permission to claim her spot. We shall see.

Currently, I am employed outside the studio as a Right of Way Agent for a public utility. Between the two of us, my husband and I have three sons, three daughters and five grandchildren. We travel, listen to music and take lots of photographs.
