Nick Borelli was raised in Santa Cruz California and primarily focuses on surf photography. Growing up, he always admired the ocean, waves, and wildlife of the coastal area, but it wasn't until he returned from college that he realized his dream to photograph surfing. He moved home from the east coast with a English Degree in 2001, and he went back to college to study photography at Cabrillo College.
Nick shoots both digital and film on land and only film in the water. In the water he uses an SPL Waterhousing and uses 35mm Fuji Velvia Transparency film. On land he shoots digital with a Canon 20d and medium format cameras with various films from color transparency to black and white. Today, Nick continues to study photography and work with pro surfers. He has been published locally and internationally.
