I live in South Florida where vegetation is larger than life; sun and rain - intense and colors - vivid and vibrant.
I have been passionately working on my images since the end August 2010 and as I wrote this bio on August 30, 2011,
I was reminded of what an incredible journey this has been in such a short period of time.
In April 2011, I self-published THE ART OF NINA which is a limited-run, 'jewel' / 'coffee-table' type book illustrating many of my images which were shot from August 2010 right up until deadline of going to print. I was told I submitted over 400 images. I had no idea.
There was such an abundance of magnificent material just outside my door, I kept going (and going and going).
I am still going.
My artistic influences are quite broad and are based on painters, photographers, musicians, poets, writers and heros.
Perhaps, those I feel who have influenced me the most are artists who emerged from the Era of 'Pop-Art' as well as
those artists who made their mark long before the term 'Pop Art' was coined.
Andy Warhol, Peter Max, Roy Lichtenstein, Salvador Dali, Jackson Pollock, Frida Kahlo and Georgia O'Keeffe are just a few among the many uniquely innovative artists who I greatly admire.
Feel free to contact me with any questions, I have the capacity to have the images blown up larger than what is listed for canvas on this site so if there is something of interest, let me know.
I am amazed to see the talent I am surrounded by from artists around the globe and am grateful to have the opportunity to share what I have seen.
Thank you, again.
My very best,
