I am a native of Midland, Michigan, a mixed-media artist specializing in watercolor since the late 1980’s. Basically self-taught, inspired by the love of oriental art and design. My unique style exudes vibrant displays of color and shows flexibility of expression. My work has received national and international attention. Recently. I have published my book entitled 'The Art of Norma Boeckler' it can be bought on Amazon.com.
In 1996 my work was displayed in The Tokushima Cultural Center Gallery and Awa-No-Sata Gallery in Japan. In 2004 my artwork was accepted in a one-artist show at Box Hill Community Arts Centre in Box Hill, Melbourne, Australia, 2005 a rug painting was accepted in the juried Camberwell Rotary Show in Victoria, Australia.
I have won many awards in juried shows, “Best of Show” in the Midland Artists Guild Show, Midland Community Center Senior Art Exhibit and West Branch, in the Michigan for Heritage Days Show, and the Kiwanis Fenton Art Fair. Most recently, in 2008 “Best of Show” & “First Place” in National Arts Program in Detroit, Michigan. My biography was accepted in Who’s Who of American Women edition 2008-2009. Recently, I have been given a web page on Famous Artists School website after completing a Fine Art and Painting Course.
