Pamela loves to paint en plein air and primarily uses soft pastel and oil as her main media .Primarily a landscape painter she is also well known for her animal studies and portraits.
She lives and works in the Yarra Valley near Melbourne Victoria, Australia and paints in the fantastic locations that surround her home,
the Yarra valley, Port Phillip bay and rural Victoria as well as New Zealand.
She has been an artist in residence at St Vincents Hospital in 2011 and early 2012 and teaches pastel at her teaching studio in Surrey Hills, The Old Bakery Studio and at the Box Hill Community Art Centre.
Numerous awards in Pastel include several this year including runner-up landscape in the prestigious Pastel Society of Victoria-Australia Annual Exhibition,Best pastel in the Selby All Saints Art Show and First Prize MEC Award for Professional Pastellist at the Pastel Society of Victoria- Australia (2010 and 2011) as well as Highly commended at Warrandyte Rotary Art Show, Strathdon, and six awards at AGRA this year.
Her solo exhibition 'Unforgettable' in 2011 was a very successful show held at the historic Victorian Artists Society in Melbourne.
On 1st November-31st December 2012 her next solo exhibition will be held at the St Vincents Hospital Art Gallery. this exhibition is called 'Horizons' and will feature seascapes and sky studies.
