Pamela paints mostly in oil, exploring the myriad possibilities of painting as self expression. She won several awards over the last few years and thus has begun taking her work to a larger audience in other cities in the U.S. She has a studio as a resident artist at the at The Hub on Canal, an amazing gallery with a large community of artists--over 70-- in New Smyrna Beach, Florida. Pamela's main focus has been the figure and portraits but she also has been doing more expressionistic palette knife paintings of city scenes and seascapes.
'I consider myself a visual storyteller, and it always excites me to explore how plot can translate into imagery. I am currently working on a Lovers series as I attempt to reflect the diversity and commonality of our collective human experience of love. I find that people respond deeply to stories about love, as there is such power in the archetype of the lover and the beloved. I use composition, color and application of paint support the story and my primary objective is to give the viewer an experience of the plot, mood and emotion.
Pamelaʼs work has appeared in galleries and shows in many U.S. cities and on online art communities.
