About Patricia Awapara

COLORFUL AND UPLIFTING is how I describe my work.

Welcome to my Online Studio!!!

I have the best job in the world!!! I paint for a living!

Before jumping into the world of entrepreneurs, I was working as a development consultant in a Land Surveying office.

Last April Life gave me another chance to decide my future. It was a 'now or never' situation that pushed me to quit my day job and do what I love.

This didn't happened overnight. It took me more than 14 years to take that leap!

I am blessed and grateful for this opportunity and hope it reflects in each and everyone of my creations. It is my wish that one day, each of these pieces travel to their new home, where they will bring for someone else a sweet smile and a joyful heart.

So, I know buying a piece of art online is still on its baby steps. However, I can assure you that in my case, what you see is what you get. I sell paintings all over the internet and the world. Some pieces have travel as far as Australia and found new homes in Ireland, England and Germany among many other cities. All of those customers, lay their trust in me, and all of them have been totally satisfied.

You could check customers reviews by clicking the number next to the five stars on my Etsy Shop. You may find it on my Facebook Page.

About Me, extended version:

My story begun around forty years ago, in a far, far away land… ok, not so far, just 5,000 miles, in a city called Lima -Peru. Known for their delicious dishes like “Ceviche” and “Lomo Saltado'. And recently “Machu-Picchu” was declared one of the New Seven Wonders of the World.

Anyway, getting back to my story… after 16 years of Peruvian Ceviche, my parents moved us (my three sisters and me) to the US. Change is always difficult, but we adjusted quickly. Through the years, life happened, and art became a long forgotten passion. I didn't get married or had kids, but I had to pay bills and had to have fun, which i did plenty, so I m not complaining.

It wasn't until my thirties that I got a chance to take an art class. It had been years since I was surrounded by art supplies, so at the store, I got an adrenaline rush!. After that, I took a few more classes, won a few awards, and got hooked to creating new pieces. The strange thing was that it took me 10 years to gather focus, discipline and the courage needed to follow my dreams.

Now, here I am! finally quit my day job to do what i love. I am painting, growing as an artist and enjoying the process. It is a humbling experience.
Best Wishes to all! Love,

Pati
