A New Orleans born illustrator, graphic designer and photographer, much of Patrick's art reflects his love for his native city and its rich culture and history. As a photographer, he endeavours to document the life of New Orleans when the opportunity to do so is available but also captures images of nature and everyday life; particularly of working people and abandoned objects or buildings. Patrick's artistic fascinations also cover a wide range of subjects, depending upon which one has captured him at a given moment in time: cars, aircraft, historical scenes, personalities, etc.
His New Orleans art reflects the spectrum of the city's life, celebration, energy and spirit. 'For the Orleanian, life is not merely a measure of time to be endured but an experience to be savoured. Even in death, life dances both around and through individual mortality.' And beyond the celebration of the moment is the always living history of the city. 'In few other places in America does the past so intertwine itself with the present.'
