I am a second generation painter & sculptor, I guess as close as I can come to describing my 'style' would be that I work in the Renaissance tradition with Impressionist influence. Although I love the jewel-like quality in the high finish of say, 17th century Dutch genre painting, in my own work I have discovered over the years, I ruin more paintings by overwork than by quitting too soon.
