Paul Miller - Fine Artist

California's Marin County resident Paul Miller was the Marin Independent Journal's editorial cartoonist in the late 1960's, later was the editorial and sports cartoonist for the Novato Advance for most of the 1970's, has published cover cartoons for the Pacific Sun and illustrated for the Tiburon Ark. He also has had editorial cartoons published in the San Francisco Chronicle. Last year the San Francisco Chapter of Surfriders Foundation published several of his surfing paintings on its website.
Miller, a former Marine and a UCLA graduate, taught a cartooning course in the art department at the College of Marin, where he was a full time faculty member in the English and communications departments for four decades. Miller has paintings and drawings in private collections in California, Arizona, Washington,
Hawaii, Texas, Florida and Provence, France.
Radio medical host Dr. Dean Edell described Miller's book, A Cartoonist's Guide to Prostate Cancer, as a must for any man facing prostate cancer.
