An avocation that began in 1938 with the gift of a Baby Brownie became a vocation following college, the military, and a 30 year career in natural resource mangagement.
The brownie was succeded by a series of 35mm cameras used for color stock photgraphy and ultimately by 4x5 field and studio cameras.
For the past 27 years I have concentrated on classic large format black and white archival selenium toned gelatin silver prints on fibre base paper.
I photograph what I know best. As a natural resource person and mountaineer landscape images predomiinate. That does not preclude capturing images of whatever appeals to my aesthetic sensibilities.
