I am a contemporary realist painter . My main area of study is to take traditional subjects and depict them in a modern style, a wonderful mix of nostalgia and modern day culture. Based in East Sussex my constant inspiration comes from the colours and textures of my environment resulting in the creation of a diverse variety of subjects including still life and landscapes . Every painting is taken on as a challenge, eagerly embracing the desire to create it with vivid colour and liveliness. I love the depth and vibrancy of acrylics and work with very small brushes that allow me to retain a smooth surface on which I can indulge in the fine detail that shows my artwork to be a little bit sharper, a little bit cleaner and a little bit brighter than real life.
