Art History: I attended the Pittsburgh, Universal Art Academy and Ivy Professional School of Art in the early 70's. (Penny DeLuke)
I have remained a member only with Laurel Arts, Somerset Artists and Johnstown. I've participated in numerous juried and non-juried shows winning the Peoples Choice, second place, third place and honorable mentions, but never placed first in a show.
(The past year I have given my creative ability and time to making miniature food (sculptures) for the American Girl Doll and also designing
and sewing one of a kind gowns and dresses for the dolls. I sell them on Ebay and give most of the profit to charity, if you would be interested please check it out. The little girls love these items and they make great birthday and Christmas gifts. At the same time you are helping a charity out. Thanks...)
I no longer sell my work at Rocky Gap Mountain Resort. website at www.allianceart.org. Click on members and scroll down to Penny Neimiller.
I've painted on-site (plein air), but usually work in my studio or living room from my own photographs or still-life set-ups. I prefer not to do commissioned work.
Some of my most memorable and favorite teachers from school and workshops/classes are: Abe Weiner, Dan Helsel, Ralph Welsh III, Olga Pogi, Frank Web, Elizabeth Hayes, Carol Hoffman, Lynn Banting, Jeanie McGuire, Mary Wiley/Lewis and Dave Ludwick.
Not offering original pastel paintings on line, because they are too fragile to ship. Most of my oil and acrylic original paintings will be offered on line.
My personal desire in life is to honor and glorify God, Praising and giving Him the thanks that He is due, in everything. May you know Him
as your personal Savior, Lord and friend as well. He is Amazing!
