My paintings are original paintings of landscapes, still lifes, and portraits, generally painted directly from life. I prefer to paint in oil or pastel, but occasionally render a painting in acrylic. I love to paint plein aire on location and render most of the painting in one sitting, preferably in the morning and refine it in the studio at home.
Portraits, I work both from photos and from life. I require at least one sitting for a portrait commission and preferably 2-4 sittings when possible.
