l struggle to produce pleasing representations of something, and in failing to produce anything of beauty, have become more appreciative of those who make truly beautiful art. Children's drawings often a have a special charm in spite of their lack of skill, but this is not generally so for adults I think. My wife appreciates the beauty of living things and takes photographs that never fail to reflect the beauty of her subject to some pleasing degree. It is like looking at a live thing versus a dead thing. more
