I am a self taught artist who basically grew up in the Louisiana swamps and marshes. My father was a professional trapper and outdoorsman who passed down the love and awe of the coastal environment , the animals and birds to me. His mission was to put back as much as he took out. That is what I am doing in a sense, I visually take and creatively return. Always having the talent and drive to create but not until after Katrina hit the Gulf Coast where I reside was I able to avail my passion for art. I began painting and have not stopped!
I have resided on the Mississippi Gulf Coast now for ten years and my eyes can not take in enough of the rich abundance of the flora and fauna. Everywhere that I look there is color and life then a composition begins forming. My work is ever evolving and growing as I fight to place on canvas that which my eyes conceive. I am in a few words an artist of deep faith and humble beginnings.
