I have always had a lifelong fascination with form, light, and color. Going to the movies as a kid, I often found myself more captivated by the visual 'awe' on the screen than the story itself. I found that photography was an ideal vehicle for channeling this creative inclination. Following in the footsteps and guidance of my famous uncle, photographer Carl Purcell, I have pursued a successful stock photography business of my own. Many of my images have been used in various books and publications, such as Travel and Leisure and MSNBC.com and are represented on Alamy, my website purcellpictures.com, and here at Fine Art America. Much of my subject matter includes beaches and coastal areas, as well as nature, animals, and people. Feel free to spend a few moments checking out my Fine Art galleries; there are many timeless treasures of captured time and beauty to be found here. .
