As a youngster I drew airplanes and hotrods. I painted simple watercolor landscapes and seascapes. More maturity brought a fascination drawing clouds. I could make them light and friendly, or dark and ominous depending on my mood.
As a teen my fascination moved from drawing clouds to drawing faces. Fittingly my first portrait was of my mom. Mothers do have a tendency to overvalue their children's creations, but my mom treasured that study in charcoal. No matter how many times she moved, it always found a prominent place in her home.
Today, with my successful non-art related career in the rear view mirror, I am once again delving into my passion for art. I hope you enjoy my work. If something in my style resonates with you, I would enjoy hearing your comments.
