Hi, my name is Ralph Brannan. Welcome to my photography website.

In 1946 a photographer invited a fourteen year old boy into his darkroom. He placed his hand in a tray of developer and said 'now you are a photographer”. I guess my hand soaked up enough of that developer that I have had a life long interest in photography.

Except for a year as a newspaper photographer and two years as a field photographer at White Sands Missile Range in New Mexico, photography was a hobby. I entered my photos in local photo contests and did quite well with several wins and placements.

I suffered a major setback in the 1970's when I lost all of my photos, cameras and other equipment in a flood in Alaska.

About six years ago, I decided to pursue photography as a business. I attended a seminar about microstock and travel photography. Since that time I have traveled to several countries and US states shooting photos where ever I went. I joined a few microstock agencies and sold quite a number of my photos. The income was not at all what I was led to believe it would be.

Since my main interest is in the field of Fine Art, I have concentrated on that in my travels. I have a passion for flowers and about half of my library is composed of flowers from every where I travel. Although, I will shoot anything that interests me.

I have composed, edited, printed and self published eight books, two are coffee table photo books.

The photos in this website are for sale in various sizes and price range. The photos may be purchased directly from this site. If there is a particular photo you would like but do not see it, contact me and I may have just what you want in my archives.
