About Randi Grace Nilsberg

Are you looking for a piece of art for your home or work space, a calming piece for your waiting room, perhaps? Maybe you need the perfect gift for someone who doesnít really need anything, or youíve got the present, but need the right card to go with it. If so, youíve come to the right place. If you take a few minutes to browse through my images, Iím sure youíll find something you like whether it is for yourself or someone else.

I was born in Workington, England but I have lived most of my life in Norway. When I was little the best Christmas gifts I could get were coloring books, crayons, modeling clay or anything that encouraged my creativity. For many years drawing was one of my favorite things to do. When I was 9 my parents took my brother and me on a trip to England to see my grandparents. Someone gave me a Diana plastic-bodied camera, and I took my very first photos, but it wasnít until several years later that my interest in photography was fully awakened. This happened after I had seen a beautiful photo in National Geographic Magazine of a tree with a snow covered apple.

I want my art to show you something extraordinary or beautiful in everyday things and also to let you have a pleasant escape from reality for a moment. I think my art would be a good investment for hospitals and institutions as well as any home or office. Forget the world around you and drift away to wherever my image takes you!

If you like what you see, please give me a like. If you want me to customize an image with the text of your choice, just let me know!

My First Sale

September 4th, 2013

A Little Sunshine Story I love Twitter! I used to love Facebook until I realized it was more of an arena for bragging! You know, I bought a new car, my husband brought me roses, weíre going on a vacation to Hawaii and that sort of stuff. Not what...

Art for Charity

July 30th, 2013

I support charity! At least sometimes, when I believe in the cause. When my kids were in junior high I was in front to raise money for school trips to Germany and Poland to see the concentration camps Auschwitz, Auschwitz-Birkenau, Sachsenhausen and...

A Photographers Dilemma

April 29th, 2013

I love to travel! What better way of developing the creative eye is there? New places, different people, different landscapes and inspiration everywhere you look. I see only one problem: I get to the right places, but not at the right time! ...

Are you offended if you see a copy of your own idea? Is it ok for other people to steal your ideas? Of course it is! If youíre guilty of inspiring others you have it coming, and you should be proud that someone else values your work so much itís...

Come on, youíve all been there! You gather your gear and get out there with your mind full of brilliant ideas about a stunning image whether itís a painting or a photograph. When you get to the spot of your choice, itís just not what you were expec...

The beginning

March 31st, 2013

Once upon a time I browsed through a glossy magazine looking at some photos. The magazine was an old issue of National Geographic handed down from a neighbor. My attention was drawn to a photo of a big red apple hanging from a tree. The photo was...

My First Decent Photo

March 31st, 2013

I remember the first decent photo I took. I mean the first photo you could actually tell the content of. It was a picture of my brother. He was about one year old and sitting in his stroller waving at me. I was nine. We were in Workington, Engla...

Creative Mood

March 31st, 2013

Iím in a creative mood today. My mind is halfway into this blog post and halfway into new ideas for a photo shoot. This affects what I should be doing; concentrating on the cupcakes Iím making for my daughterís 21st birthday. They do not turn out ...
