Art has always been at the center of my life. It is my profession, my passion, and my pleasure. Art and creativity have been core values for all aspects of my life. Spirituality is the pulse that guides my creative outlook. Painting for me is a spiritual journey. When I teach painting, that is the approach that I follow. One can only paint one painting at a time, and every painting leads to the next painting. Each experience moves the artist to a deeper understanding of their painting process.
I look to nature for my inspiration and find it is full of possibilities - color vibrations, patterns, rhythms, and beautiful scenes to paint from. I honor the environment in my work. I create paintings that remind people of the beautiful and fragile world in which we live. My art is about color and light and the texture of the paint. I am working to make art that gives one the sensation that they have been there before, and that it was a beautiful place.
