Welcome to Frankz Paw Printz, a pet photography business located in Carmel-by-the-Sea, California.
Renae specializes in FUN, CANDID, and WILDLY EXPRESSIVE photos of your family pet member in their most relaxed and happy atmosphere by having a ton of fun romping on the Carmel Beach. After photographs are taken, I work with them in my digital darkroom and fuse them with my Graphic Art ability. You'll find that I create loads of holiday cards featuring the dogs I photograph. You'll also find my designs on products such as matching postage stamps, envelopes, iPad cover, mugs and t-shirts at may galleries at my Zazzle Store and my CafePress Store. Please stop by and visit. BTW, As you look through my designs and you spot something that you would love to have your own pet displayed, just contact me. You'll just need to provide me with a high resolution photo of your pet. Simple, and no obligation to you.
Meet me and my team....Richard Frankz, my husband, is usually with me on most photo shoots ... when he's not in the recording studio. Yes, that's him in the music I play on my websites. Can't help but be proud of him. If you have a moment, jump on over to Richard's website and check out his three CDs. He's working on his fourth soon to be released CD that will be called 'Till Then'. But, needless to say when he helps me on a project, he puts his heart into it.
And then there's Frank, our son ... who loves to lend a helping hand. His help has been indispensible...especially on the big photo shoots like Dog-O-Ween. If you ask him though ... what his best day was ... he'd tell you it was when we were working on 'Paws in the Parking Lot'. That was the day we adopted his Doberman 'Rocky' from the RIACC shelter. I have to admit, that was a best day for all of us. Rocky has turned out to be a great addition to our home that was once ruled by 'Sheeba', our Chinese Crested. Despite their size differences, they've become the best of friends.
As for me, it's been a long journey to finally really enjoy what I do for work....if you can call it work. Growing up in Miami, I was lucky enough to always have a dog...back then it was German Shepherds...my dad's dog of choice. And, poodles for my mom's choice. But even with our dogs, I was always catching iguanas and bringing them home. One grew to 6ft...ended up donating it to the Seaquarium. Had him for years and brought him with me everywhere. At that time I also had a horse named 'Pandora'. You could usually find me at one of the Florida rodeos where I would compete in barrell racing.
But even at the young age of 5, I was comfortable with the camera and photography ... only I was the one in front of the camera. In 1962, I won Little Miss Universe.
From that moment forward, I did a huge amount of modeling. In fact, because of the fact my dad taught me to scuba dive at age 6, I was actually an stuntgirl in an Ivan Tors movie called 'Island of the Lost'. I did the underwater dive scenes for the little girl in the movie. I had to actually swim with and be towed by 'Drip' the sea lion in the movie. Rico Browning and Luke Halpin (from Flipper) were also in the movie. I was 11 at the time.
I went on to do lots and lots of TV commercials such as M&Ms, International Banks of Miami, Pet Milk, Oscar Meyer ...etc.
Had the pleasure of performing on stage at the Coconut Grove Theater in three productions...Eloise, The Littlest Angel and Peter and the Wolf.
Here's a print ad from the McDonald's commercial I did.
Now I have to brag on my dad, Jack Crevalle who in 1957 broke the world's record for staying underwater 28 hours and 53 minutes without surfacing. Here's a YouTube of the event:
Jumping ahead, I went on to own several of my own businesses. But I have to say as much as I enjoyed owning my other businesses, I have never had so much fun as what I am having now. I fused a creative graphics hobby and a camera hobby along with my love of animals into what I am doing today. I only hope I can work with you and turn what I enjoy doing, into a portrait of your pet that you will treasure forever.
