I'm a retired advertising art director, illustrator and copy writer. Besides the acrylic paintings shown here and numerous commercial illustrations (not shown), I've also written two 'unpublished' novels. In fact, I proudly served three years as President of Peninsula Writers, the largest writer support organization in Michigan. My friends know me as a writer who paints with words and as a painter who tells stories with a brush. The fact is, I am passionate about creative endeavors, no matter which form they take. I love rich colors, careful compositions and themes that take me to emotional places. These basic tenets are part and parcel of a creative process that applies to both the literary and the painterly arts; although, admittedly, I've been doing a lot more painting lately than writing.
