Richard was first exposed to the myths of light and shadow in late 1930s at his uncle's studio where he followed his uncle under the hood to find upside-down subjects, burning of magnesium strobe light and developing B & W images in the darkroom. Richard's first Yashica that used 6 x 6cm film was purchased after his graduation from the medical school. Minolta, Canon and Nikon became his tools for the ensuing years until his retirement. Digital era began and Pentax, Minolta, SONY and Panasonic followed. Presently, Richard uses a camera by Canon. His main interest is in capturing the nature's beauty.
