Richard Craw

Though art has been a freelance career of mine for the last ten years or so, my training and exploration began much earlier ~ as I think is fairly common. Trained primarily in traditional media, my earlier work is more 'classical', based on portraiture and landscape. Graphic design and digital media came later, as did the illustrative influences on my work.

I received a BA in both Art and English from Lafayette College in 2000. Since then I've trained under and worked for fine artists Curlee Raven Holton, Andrey Tamarchenko, muralist Joseph Brown, and portrait artist Nancy Craw (who is, of course, my grandma, and my most beloved teacher.) I've displayed my work in New York City, Pennsylvania, and New Jersey, and have been featured in various publications, including New Art International. The end of January 2010 concluded my most recent showing at World Fine Art Gallery (www.worldfineart.com) in Chelsea.

In the realm of design my most recent clients include Women's Advanced Athletics LLC (www.heredge.com); BAMC Images LLC; SOX XPress LLC (www.sox-expert.com); and Enlighten Up LLC .

I currently live and work in the high desert of northern New Mexico, where I continue to refine and transform this lifelong pursuit of art and spirit.
