Born in Milwaukee, WI. Moved with family to Los Angeles California in 1947. Attended John Marshall High School, UCLA,(BA Psychology) and USC,(Maser of Science, Library Science). Worked as medical librarian at UCSD, Memorial University of Newfoundland, and the University of Alabama at Birmingham.
