I consider my work traditional American realism.In fact I prefer calling my work 'southern realism', due to the subjects I paint tend to be things I am most familiar with.
Eakins,Homer,Henri,Wyeth,Chase,etc., are some of the painters I most admire.These and others that paint in avery personal style.Like many of these, I was influenced
by the masters Rubens,Rembrandt.Velasquez,Hals, and other earlier European masters.I also as they did before me choose to take the lessons learned from these and
the two masters I studied with, One American realist and another European classicist.The consequence being to seek a personal style of my own painting the subjects that
I am most familiar with.I paint figurative,still life, landscapes, urban paintings and try and not restrict my subject matter to any one genre.
I also do giclee reproductions of selected works.All originals are nicely framed and I will sell most unframed if requested.I also welcome gallery and dealer inquiries which I prefer to discuss one on one.
