About Robert Kernodle

''My atoms were born in the deceptively full hollows of intergalactic emptiness. My anatomy arose from the turbulent patterns of wild fluid fires, in a cosmic cataclysm that fixed life's genesis on the shores of terrestrial fluid waters. All human bodies on Earth arose from these waters that eventually stood up on legs to marvel at the night sky from which they originally came, first as stardust, then as rain, then as liquid bubbles, then as genetic chains, ultimately self-organizing into cellular clusters and complex brains. The whole of human existence is immeasurable, both in time and in space, because each of reality's seemingly separate bodies is perpetually malleable, never absolutely fixed, and continuously connected to every other body. The individual artist, thus, is a momentary manifestation of an infinite, eternal being.'' -- Robert G. Kernodle

ORIGINAL Paintings Fluidism

These are ORIGINAL paintings, created by the hands of the artist himself, in tangible media, worked with brushes that were driven by muscle power, ... available for purchase by contacting the artist directly. ...... S P E C I F I C A T I O N S ... are as follows: ... ARTIST: Robert G. Kernodle ... STYLE: Fluidism ORIGINAL Paintings ... YEAR CREATED: 2002 ... CONDITION: Mint condition (stored and protected) ... MATERIALS: Professional artist acrylics on archival paperboard, bonded to furniture-grade, birch-wood panel ... SIZE (each): 17 3/8" x 17 3/8" x 3/4" (square) ... APPEARANCE: Main painted-panel paper thickness stands out in relief from wood-panel support, creating effect of a faux frame (i.e., a border that looks like a frame from a distance). Bold, colorful, liquid abstracts ... FINISH: Gloss sheen on main painted panels; mat sheen on borders; entire artworks neatly and securely wired, ready-to-hang ... MARKINGS: On front, artist's signature; on back, artwork title, artist signature, and personal catalogue number assigned in year of creation ... FEEL: Solid, dense, sturdy, thick panel ... DURABILITY: Artist acrylics are designed to last 75-100 years, with proper care, which means being careful (as with all original paintings) not to scratch finished surfaces, by avoiding cleaning chemicals, and by using only dry dusting to clean ... TECHNIQUE: Part planning, part improvisation - setting up surfaces and various fluid layers for manipulating free-flowing, spontaneous, fluid dynamic patterns, and allowing these to dry for finishing and hanging as interior wall art.
