Robert Rohrich began painting as a student the Cleveland Institute of
Art as a watercolorist influenced by Winslow Homer. He began Plein-Air oil painting as a member of the Garrison Art Center
located on the Hudson River in New York state. Now as a permanent resident of Florida his current body of work is
devoted to the Florida Landscape. His subject matter is the east coast shoreline, marshes and nature
preserves, and meadows threatened by development. He frequently paints at marines & local waterways and is always
