My name is Ronald Johnson. Thanks for taking a few moments to view my profile. I have had a love of illustration for most of my life and in the past few years, I've tried using oil pastels to explore this passion. Oil pastels can be blended together readily and are quite forgiving in their versatility. I love the impressionistic style and oil pastels lend themselves well to this technique because beautiful tones of light and dark and transitions can be expressed (although achieving fine detail can be difficult at times.) I love all techniques of illustration ( charcoal, soft pastel, pencil, pen and ink, etc.) but oil pastels have captured most of my current attention. I like to create images in my spare time and I hope that you enjoy my style of illustration. I currently live in the Pittsburgh, Pa region and I would love to hear your commentary/critiques regarding my work. If you like my style of illustration, commisioned work can be done for individuals, organizations, etc. for a negotiated price.
